Golden Square Caravan Park

We had a great stay at the end of October, it was end of season so quieter but the site was still very well presented, the play barn open and the loo and shower facilities always clean. Check in was friendly and straight forward with clear directions to our super pitch. The site is great for families as there's 2 play parks, a sports area and local and long distance walks all around. Helmsley is a few minutes away in the car, as is Sutton bank, we were only here 2 nights so didn't venture too far but the local area offers lots to explore.

We picked Golden Square for our first time family camping experience. We were very impressed with the facilities on site, everywhere was immaculately clean. There are ample toilet/showering cubicles, pot washing station. Pet friendly site with lots to do to entertain the children. The play parks are fantastic which had the kids sorted for hours. The camping pitches are located close to the facilities, and onsite shop which sells everything you might need. Ground was hard in places, would recommend heavy duty tent pegs. A superb location for our first camping trip, Helmsley is a beautiful town with lots of dog friendly pubs/restaurants, steeped in History with lots of tourist attractions and an open air outdoor pool. Would definitely recommend and we’ll certainly revisit.

Golden Square is a fantastic caravan site. We came here after being disappointed with another campsites facilities and couldn't have asked for better! My husband requires accessible facilities for his hidden disability and at this site they were modern,usable,clean and very well thought out. We couldn't have asked for better. The staff are so helpful and friendly - completely different from the other site. The pitches are great and the views amazing. We will be returning 🥰

Just got back from an amazing time camping here. The park and football area are brilliant for children, plenty for them all to do. The facilities are spotless and well maintained. Paddy was by far the most friendly and hillarious staff member. Such a brilliant asset to the park and he made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning

Fab campsite and very welcoming amd helpful staff team. Great play areas for kids. The shower blocks were always clean despite the park being busy. Would definitely recommend!
