Absolutely loved it! The landlady & landlord were lovely, food was delicious with huge portions, freshly made. It also had a great, friendly atmosphere & we were recommended a good place for fuel locally and a good walking route. I had steak pie, chips & mushy peas.
My husband took me on a lovely evening date. We did book a table and had a lovely meal. The meal was homemade, the pub was very clean, the staff were very helpful, cheery and lovely. Easy to talk to . We had a wonderful time. Pub got busy so I would recommend booking a table for the chance of a tasty meal.
Very warm welcome from Paul. Excellent steak and ale pie with chips. Would thoroughly recommend it here
Popped in for lunch whilst cycling the trans Pennine trail. Good choice of beers, good menu and friendly staff. Offered to put my bike in their garage when it rained. Nice to chat to some locals too. Excellent pit stop!
We've had several evening meals at The Bridge since Paul and Kat took over - wonderful hosts btw - and always enjoyed their food. My brother was over from Manchester so we finally tried their Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Meats perfectly cooked: 5 veg, 2 potatoes and Yorkshires. Excellent cauliflower cheese. Indulged with homemade and traditional jam roly-poly, no regrets. Others enjoyed the apple crumble. Paul looks after his draft beers and varies well. We had an enjoyable Timothy Taylor's 'Knowle Spring'. Recommended for food, drink and hospitality.
