Old York Forest Caravan Park

This wonderful caravan park is a hidden gem. Nestled between ancient woodlands, the generous caravan plots afford views over sweeping fields. Kerry is a wonderful host, and she consistently works had to ensure the site is clean and well kept. Seasonal and visitors alike are genuinely warm friendly people, who are very willing to help each other out when required. A dedicated website exists to give users an opportunity to upload photographs, (sunsets are wonderful here) and general information of best pubs/restaurants and places to visit in the area etc whilst also alerting campers to such things such as awning collapse after a storm. Additionally, Kerry carry’s out a daily walk around the site to ensure all is in order. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful site with good amenities and where even single travellers will feel safe and secure, look no further. No rowdy midnight revellers here.

Lovely little site our dog loves the little dedicated dog walking area and his walk to the pub through the woods 🙂. Very friendly owner who has always been very helpful and goes above and beyond. A mix of seasonal and none seasonal pitches but has kept the peaceful feel of a much smaller site and no us and them feeling that you get at some other seasonal sites. Would definitely recommend giving Kerry the owner a call if you have any questions about the site 🙂

Thanks campsite is amazing. Kerry the owner is lovely and friendly, great if you're a dog owner, as there is a dog walking area and a lovely woodland next door. Toilets and showers are spotlessly clean Close to the lovely little town of pocklington and about a 20min drive into York

Great campsite. Beautiful location. Peaceful*( although some traffic at times and some shooting nearby). Loads of nature at the end of the field. Great plots very big with water and electricity on plot. Coded gate. Only minor point was having to walk to far end of site for grey water emptying. Lovely host and facilities are perfect. Would certainly go back

our first year seasonal ,we are absolutly thrilled to be on this site,we personally feel the site is perfect for our needs and will be staying if invited to do so for several seasons in the future. kerry you are a diamond and look after us 100%and always a friendly face around the site and always helpful. its a back to nature site peaceful laid back and relaxing which is what we love about it,a chilled place with a bit of fishing in the secluded lake just the atmosphere needed for total relaxation. the bathrooms are perfect private little cabins with everything you need,large cubicals constant hot water plenty of room chair provided and always spotless. pitches are huge so you dont feel on top of other guests,our dog is welcome and well catered for ,the dog walk is beautiful and you always see different nature on every walk. east riding is beautiful ,lots to see and do ,from the amazing city of york to the the beautiful rugged coast of north yorkshire and the dales all within a hours drive. thanks kerry😉
