If Lidl get their checkouts sorted it might make 5 stars. If the checkouts continue to have almost zero packing room and the operators are criticised by management for allowing people time to pack (scanning rates) then it won’t. This criticism is general, not store specific. This particular store is very well placed and has decent parking.

Nice big store, wide isles so plenty of room. Not many floor staff. Fully stocked shelves. Only our second visit. Really good customer service at the tills very helpful & friendly. Downloaded the app before we shopped. Got some freebies & discounted fruit & veg so worth having the app.

Go here if you want herding through one checkout when there is a large queue, only to be greeted by a checkout operative who seems to have lost the power of speech and so merely grunts at you and then goes on to throw your goods at you after scanning them, then goes into silent mode while you race to pack your items, he only broke his silence to grunt the cost of my shopping at me while I was mid pack. So all in all a terrible experience, my first and last visit to Lidl Yarm Road. The extra star is for the competitive prices.
