A fantastic site! Very clean, well equipped and well run with friendly staff. Shop on site selling local produce and nice gifts. Beautiful views and lots of excellent walks. The small village of Muker is just a short walk away and has so much to offer - galleries and cafes as well as a shop and a pub. Quite a find!

I've been to many campsites, but in terms of walking trails, the shower area, toilets, small grocery store, etc., this place was by far the best. You can especially access the most beautiful nature views and walking trails in this area. Pros: - Excellent location - Great campsite facilities - Very clean, very well maintained - The staff are great and very attentive - A region with excellent walking routes Cons: - The grass needs to be cut. Because the grass is so long, I saw a lot of tent pegs etc. in the grass, I even found someone's sunglasses, that's how long it is. - Because the grass is so long, even if the barbecue is slightly raised off the ground, it damages the grass. Even though I used a barbecue mat, it still damaged the grass. - There is a rule of silence in the campsite from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., but no one enforces it. I stayed for two nights and couldn't sleep until 4 a.m. both nights because of other people's noise. If such a rule exists, you must enforce it. Yes, it's not the campsite's fault, but they are responsible for enforcing it. I can't find a campsite official at 3 a.m. to report this. The campsite authorities need to have staff who monitor the site. In summary, I highly recommend this place to everyone. The pros far outweigh the cons.

Love this site!! Location is stunning, amazing walks and a short walk through the fields to the local village / pub. It’s such a nice chilled site, very peaceful and nice that you’re trusted to arrive / leave as you need to. Not having to leave first thing meant we got an extra day out to explore before returning to pack / head home. The owner is super friendly and the shop had everything we needed. We will be back again!! Xx

Fantastic site with lots of space. The showers and facilities are spotlessly clean and there's even a little library. The small shop has all the basics you might need and sells locally produced meat. There is a nice pub a ten minute walk away although the food there is just average. The Kings Head, a drive away serves much better food.

Rude and unwelcoming. Beautiful location, but the customer service ruined our stay. We arrived early evening after deciding not to camp on the moors due to a weather warning. We tried to phone ahead just before 6, but the phone rang out and went to answer machine. The office was closed with a sign saying “find a pitch and pay when open,” so we did exactly that. Instead of a friendly welcome, I was spoken to like a child and told off for not booking ahead. I was then taken straight to a card machine to pay, despite signs suggesting payment when open. The comment" how do you think you were going to pay" made me feel that I could not be trusted and was just going to leave the site. At that point we decided to cut our stay short and left the next morning. Others should know the “park up and pay later” system does not apply from Sunday to Tuesday lunchtime. A great spot, but a very poor and unnecessary customer experience.
