This impressive stone built structure was constructed hundreds of years ago to divert flows from Park Dike towards Lane Head Farm, once a water powered mill, a unique historical building, one of a kind in this area and hard to imagine how much work was involved. A marvel of a construction and possibly related to the medieval water mill in Stephen Wood. The stone slab which houses the spindle head unit can be seen just upstream next to the footpath.
