Also, if you load your bonus card to spend in store or online you get an extra £1 bonus for every £20 loaded. For most people that's an extra £2-£3 a week, which over the year means another £104 - £156 in your pocket. Staff are incredibly helpful too.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the gentleman on the tills yesterday who went above and beyond to assist my husband (who has Parkinson’s Disease) with his purchases. I was feeling fatigued and gratefully sat on the chair with my young grandson while the gentleman took the time to ensure my husband was able to complete his transactions. He showed a real compassion that very few people do these days and did not hurry him along like most stores would do. I would like to commend him and congratulate Iceland on having such a wonderful member of staff.

If Narnia had been set in a retail park, this would be the wardrobe. Step through the automatic doors and—bam—you’re in a world where everything is frozen, including your sense of time. I went in for a bag of peas and came out with 48 sausage rolls, a mild case of frostbite, and the haunting realization that I now own six varieties of garlic bread. The sheer scale is biblical. Imagine Costco, but if Costco only believed in frozen food and discount signage. There’s something oddly comforting about it though, like being hugged by a chest freezer. The staff are friendly, even when you panic-buy 30 chicken kievs because they’re “three for two.” I don’t know if I’ve discovered inner peace, but I have discovered frozen profiteroles. And honestly, that’s close enough.
