After having my daughters 10th birthday here I thought I’d review the event. For £81.50 i was offered 12-1 on a Saturday in the studio pool for 26 kids with floats or 30 without then until 2.15 in the cafe for self catering food, seemed a great deal and to an extent I guess it is considering the cost of parties nowadays. The floats were amazing, kids had music and lifeguard always on duty. Issue with the pool side being there was also a public swim on so changing rooms and lockers were limited and I hadn’t been pre warned about needing coins for the lockers, granted it’s common sense but having not swam in a long time it wasn’t at the front of my mind so we had to split 5 lockers between 15 kids, normally not an issue everything fit fine, the issue being it was so busy with our own party and others coming and going and limited spaces it was very rushed and chaotic and we ended up with 3 lockers with keys but no band, I mean, how are you supposed to swim using a locker if you have no band to keep the key safe but that’s by the by, my issue was having 3 keys thrown at me by chaotic 9/10 year olds with no band to identify which locker was used so had to spend 20 minutes trying them all and photographing keys next to numbers to remember, please sort the bands out or have dedicated party lockers, sun lane know you have a booking, lockers could be reserved for a party. Other than that the kids loved it. Onto food, self catering ok it’s stressful but doable, I was told after swim they’d go upstairs to the cafe for food, having limited knowledge of the place I didn’t question it, on the day we got there a bit early due to prior engagement so asked if I could leave the food in the cafe, I was indicated to the side of reception and told ‘well that’s the cafe so there’s not really anywhere to keep it’, I was offered space behind a banner which I wasn’t keen on as it was still publicly accessible, eventually offered to store it in the kitchen and a nice man (sorry didn’t catch your name) helped me bring it in, I’ve used the gym before and never seen the cafe open so never really registered to me as a cafe but entering the kitchen the place was disorganised with dirty dusty worktops so I assume it’s been closed a long time. Once it came to food I was rushed back out of the kitchen so they could re-lock it losing access to water for drinks, we had to wait for reception staff to fill jugs which thankfully I had else kids would’ve gone completely without. Given the ‘cafe’ area wasn’t upstairs as I was told but right next to reception at the viewing area we then had the same 15 kids plus parents food drink and presents to cram into the area while trying to stay out of the way of other people watching the swimmers, I really don’t know how we’d have got 26-30 in there if we’d have maxed capacity. In all the kids loved it but for me it was very disorganised and stressful and as great at the swim was for the kids I really don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to rebook a party until it can be organised more sensibly. In all, ok price but incredibly disorganised.

Out of all the leisure centres that I've been to, this is one of my favourites. The pool is large (it felt quite easy to swim in), the lane swimming session was great with music being played on the speakers and the pool, changing rooms and showers are clean. Would definitely go swimming here again!

Great gym, always clean and staff there are so welcoming :) Had a great few months since joining back this year, I appreciate Harry who is a member of the Fitness team at this gym who's helped and continuing to help push me to my end goal.

Very Clean, very good for familys free pool noodles to use my daughter feels more secure in the water with them, several Life gaurds always patrolling pool activity. One negative not long enough swim time for the familys , its like 10min to get the kids ready then 15mins getting them out, so it limits your time in the bath swimming, but lovely clean pool overall and very helpful staff at reception. 9/10 ( only knocking 1 down for length of time in pool)
