I went here with my two children today, not expecting too much. We just wanted somewhere to add to our day trip. But I will be recommending this place to everyone with children! We spent much longer there that I thought we would. There are so many activities for the children to do, even my youngest who is only 3! We will definitely be returning!
No board outside so didn't realised it was open! Cafe not open Saturdays but the free museum was, friendly staff, lots of interesting exhibits, things for kids to do too, hats\wigs to try on!
Nice little museum, it’s located within the Library.
I love this place. It works on so many levels. It is inclusive, with some interactive displays, both written and audible commentary and uses sound as part of a landscape to depict atmosphere. All the staff are lovely amd more than happy to help and explain when needed. A great way to learn new things about the area, whilst at the same time being transported back to bygone times
This is a fascinating museum, having displays such as animals, ornaments and tools in its spacious area! It is also well-organized, placing artifacts from specific time periods in the same glass boxes. Navigation in the museum is able to be done with ease since there are signs for all the floors, which you are able to go in lifts to. The staircase itself is massive, serving the clean museum well alongside its lifts!
