Popular spot for Hockey, Football, Bowls and the new thing called paddle. Even has it's own bar. Parking used to be a bit tight but they've marked out differently recently which has made a big improvement.
Good that you don't have to pay for parking at the weekend now.
I’ve been playing 7 a side football here for over a decade. Yesterday, we were forced to share the pitch we paid full price for with a makeshift 5 a side setup. It seems they intend to repurpose the 5 a side pitch for padel courts, as it will generate more revenue by cramming more people in. This is pure greed. The communication from the staff was poor and they showed no sympathy for a less than ideal situation. The grounds are already in a state of disrepair, and the gates are always locked, preventing us from retrieving our balls when they go over. The car park is equally appalling. It’s hard to understand why the prices are increasing when we’re experiencing a decline in the overall experience.
Great place where my kids football club train. Plenty of space to spectate.
Friendly staff. Lots of parking.. good bar and prices. Room hire very reasonable
