Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
About
Description
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are one of rugby league's most famous names and compete in the elite Stobart Super League against some of the worlds best clubs.
Five times Challenge Cup winners and twice champions in an illustrious history, Wakefield was the club of World Record points holder Neil Fox MBE, a man still seen regularly at Wildcats matches.
Dubbed by passionate fans simply 'Wakey', 'Trinity', or the 'Wildcats', they have remained among the sport's Super League elite since promotion from National League competition in 1999, and in 2009 enjoyed their best ever season, including entry to the end of season play-offs.
The Wildcats are at the start of an exciting new chapter in their history with a new owner, stadium developments and a brand new squad including players who have represented Great Britain, England and New Zealand on the international stage. There's a feel good factor engulfing the Wildcats in recent times and the city is right behind them.
The Wildcats have been at their Rapid Solicitors Stadium home since 1879, and the venue can be easily accessed by bus, train or car.
