Walk Description
Start on St John Street. With the Minster in front of you, head left and then left again along Minster Moorgate road. At the crossroads with Lairgate, cross over the road and turn right. Take a sharp left down Admiral Walker Road, then cross over to turn right down Central Avenue. Go straight across the next crossroads and then turn right down to walk to the end of Ellerker Road.
Turn left down the path next to the school entrance, and at the end of the path, head towards the road lined with trees straight ahead. Cross the road, and head towards the windmill noting you cross the training course for racehorses. From the windmill, head between the two groups of trees, onto the golf course. Walk around the line of trees on your left, and turn left to walk between two more groups of trees. Find the gap in the hedgerow straight ahead, then turn left, so you’re walking in a field with another hedgerow on your right. Walk to the end of this field, turning left at the sight of the A1079 road.
Walk parallel to the road, until you reach the B1230 road. Cross over and turn right so you are on the pavement. Just after a litter bin, turn left down the driveway and then onto the hedge-lined footpath. Turn left, then right to follow the path into a field open to the left. At the drain, turn left, and follow the track to walk past Butt Farm. Follow the farm road across the A1079 all the way to reach Victoria Road.
Turn left, continuing to reach the A164, walking on the pedestrian/cyclepath. At the roundabout, turn right to walk alongside Lincoln Way. Carry straight on at the next roundabout, and continue along Minster Way. Eventually, a pavement splits to the left and leads to a footpath, which you follow all the way into Beverley. Cross over Woodmansey Mile using the central island and follow the blue signs to Beverley Town Centre. Turn right on Keldgate, and walk to the zebra crossing, to finish at the Minster.
