Holiday Inn Express Rotherham - North by IHG

Excellent hotel. Good sized rooms but the lighting is very poor. They could also do with making the air conditioning control instructions clearer for ordinary folk. I understood symbols that may not be familiar to most and initially found the air coming out to be cold. This was improved by checking the symbols more carefully. Breakfast was fine but, as usual, a bit of a race to find a free table to eat at. Staff very helpful.

Hi. I'm sorry to say that my experience staying here was poor. Rooms are good sizes where you get your standard 3 star comforts. However, I noticed 3 black hairs in the bed. This prompted me to inspect the room a lot closer which I never really do unless something catches my eye. I then noticed 2 black hairs under my pillows and found paper towels, socks and large amounts of dust under the bed. I pulled the bed back and found a thick layer of dust and other daily build up. There must have been months in not older than a year of accumulation. The carpet was absolutely pitted with crumbs, mud and hundreds of flakes from croissants. I did sleep there after removing the hairs. I showered the next morning and what do I find when I go to dry myself? A large black hair hanging from my freshly washed towel. My floor towel also had a curiously looking brown fleck which spawned a yellow circular stain around it. I booked 2 nights and decided to leave after 1. I won't be booking this hotel again, the only reason I stayed here was because my work colleagues were here. I should have stuck to my better judgment and stayed at my usual the premier inn. I could have complained but what's the point, the room was unacceptable in the first place and should not drop to that standard. I could have got another room but the damage was done, I already made up my mind. My train of though is that if they have missed the basics then what else has not been completed to a normal accepting standard.

We attended the Bobby Dazzler Christmas Market at the hotel yesterday and had such a fantastic time! The event was bustling with visitors all day, and the atmosphere was full of festive vibes. The hotel itself looks incredible after the renovations – so clean, welcoming, and inviting. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the day, which made the experience even better. From a shopping point of view, the stalls were absolutely fantastic – beautifully presented and full of amazing products, we took plenty home! We had a brilliant day and can’t wait to be part of the next one!

Staying for 4 nights with work. And what can I say what a dump. Holiday inn you should be ashamed. My room was full of stains in the carpet and mold in the shower . Thankfully the staff were great and I changed rooms which was ok. Holiday inn you need to do better my company are paying a lot of money for me and the other lads stopping here and it’s just not good enough 😡

Lots of parking, near a pub, Aldi and lots of other shops. Stayed twice, second time the bathroom needed a lot of TLC and hairdryer was missing but nothing horrendous. Clean, basic and decent size rooms overall. A bargain for the price really.
