I'm quite disappointed in this place, it looked great from Google maps ariel view but in person it's not that great. It's a fairly plain standard layout, just a back and forth run which soon gets boring. The ramps are a decent size so ok for beginners and those with skills. Square edge on the funbox which is frustrating, these things should always be round coping. There's one concrete ramp, everything else is steel frame and skatelite. The bottom of the concrete transition is well rough, looks like there was maybe a metal plate there that's done a runner. Visit this place if you're local but do not recommend traveling to this it's so not worth it. Check out nearby rosehill skatepark for serious bowl fun or dearne valley skate park for a fun interesting park done properly. One more moan, the pathways leading up to this place are the most gravelly slippy unskateable surface known to man and I couldn't find anywhere to park remotely near it.
Do not go here. Went here to try to learn how to skateboard, rough terrain to get the board moving, broken glass and leafs everywhere. Ramps have a crack at the end with the concrete that completely stops the board with any weight on it that can cause injury’s. Go to a better skatepark if you wanna skateboard with smoother concrete.
The layouts ok but is rly repetitive which gets boring after a couple hours there’s a few repairs that need to be done (such as the wood needing to be rebooted) the floor is rly unsmooth & is hard to skate on especially if ur trying some flat ground tricks. there’s 1 concrete ramp & the transition at the bottom is terrible I’ve fallen off my board a few times when I was learning fakies. There’s been a new rail installed but is way below peg hight on a regular 20” bmx & is too high for beginners who’ve never tried to grind before. There’s a “bench” which I’m guessing is for grinding as there’s metal plates around the edge but it’s rly high & I struggle to stand on top of it (13 & 5’4.5”). There’s 2 fun boxes 1 with a 3 stair & the other next to a spine they’re not too bad & they’re good for beginners & kids too small for the other ramps opposite to the stairs fun box there’s a mini quarter which would be perfect size for someone’s first drop in but there’s no top so it’s just like half a spine. Despite all this I still go there almost everyday & have learned a lot of my tricks there but I wouldn’t recommend going Friday after 5pm & Saturday morning as theres always loads of people drinking & on a Saturday there’s glass everywhere from the night before.
ramps are broken and old
Great skatepark but very dirty bottles cans paper glass and food waste. Need a bin ?
