The place itself is normally gives a lovely experience, but there was an incident recently involving a tall, curly haired bouncer on the door that should be looked into. He physically slapped away a girls hand hard enough to break her real fingernail, and when told about the damage he had caused, he was verbally aggressive, swearing and being dismissive. It is a very negative representation of a nice place, and was enough to put me and my friends off from ever returning.
The atmosphere in here is fab and the two for one deal is great however i ordered a marg and it was super salty (not the salt rim i had a straw) politely asked one of the girls to remake/ try who tried and agreed something was wrong. the general manager rue/rea then appeared who was so unbelievably rude i offered to buy another and she just walked away from me. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a bar before and genuinely am so disappointed i would have bought another even though my first was undrinkable but after she blatantly told me it’s not her problem i just left. The level of service was just so horrible it absolutely left a sour (salty) taste in the mouth!
We stopped in for drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar is cosy and I loved the decor. We didn't have food but the pizzas sounded awesome.
Lovely find, stumbled across it and glad we did. Excellent selection of beers, cocktails (including non alcoholic), even the flat white coffee was amazing, definitely not the Costa rubbish.
This was one of my favourite bars as a student (long live the Milky Bar Kid) but this time around I was popping in to try their Crooked Slice pizza. I got a slice of Truffle Mushroom which really impressed me: sumptuous toppings on wonderfully soft sourdough.
