I recently visited this cozy coffee shop and had such a great experience! Their Spanish latte was perfectly balanced—smooth, slightly sweet, and incredibly satisfying. I also tried the banana coconut cake and pumpkin cake, and both were delicious. The banana coconut cake was moist with a lovely tropical flavor, while the pumpkin cake had warm spices and the perfect texture. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s definitely a spot I’d return to for great coffee and tasty treats!

We came in on a Monday morning just by chance. Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken so many coffee options were not available. There were however plenty of other options available. We had a milkshake and a toffee nut matcha. They were incredible. As an added extra, our server overheard us talking about it being my birthday and came to us with a lovely slice of carrot cake on the house. That was also incredible. We would definitely come back here.

The place was lovely, and the coffee quality was truly amazing — it’s rare to find cafés in the UK with this level of quality. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. A few days ago, when I visited, their coffee machine was out of order. They offered us other drinks instead, but we didn’t want any, so the staff kindly gave us two free drink vouchers for any time and refunded our money. All my orders so far have been takeaways, but I’ll definitely come back one day to sit inside and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

I'm pleased to say that you are one of a very few places open for breakfast in York before 9.30am. It's a bonus that the food and coffee is good and the staff are great. The location is within easy walking distance of all of the central tourist attractions. There was enough seating each time we visited though this was towards the end of the tourist season. If you can, use the park and ride. It's not expensive and will get you very close to the city centre so 200 Degrees will never be far away.

I recently visited 200 Degrees Coffee Shop in York and had a pleasant experience overall, although there were some aspects that didn't quite meet my expectations. The cafe has a nice atmosphere with a warm and welcoming vibe, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The location is also convenient, nestled in a charming part of York, which adds to the appeal. We ordered a long black coffee, and I was quite impressed with the service. The staff were friendly, efficient, and quick to prepare our drinks. It's clear that they know how to manage a busy cafe while still maintaining a personable touch, which made the visit enjoyable from a customer service perspective. Additionally, they offer free tap water, which is a nice touch and much appreciated for those who want to stay hydrated or just prefer a simple refreshment. However, as a coffee lover and tester, I was disappointed with the coffee itself. The long black I ordered had a burnt flavor, which resulted in a somewhat sour taste. It seemed like the beans might have been over-roasted or perhaps the grind was too fine, leading to an unpleasant bitterness. For a place that prides itself on good coffee, this was a letdown. While I appreciated the ambiance, the excellent service, and the option of complimentary tap water, the coffee didn't live up to my expectations. If you're looking for a cozy spot to relax with friends or get some work done, 200 Degrees is a good choice. But if, like me, you're particular about the taste and quality of your coffee, you might find yourself a bit disappointed. I hope they can refine their coffee-making process because, with the right tweaks, this cafe could be truly fantastic.
