Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the housekeeping service was very disappointing. The room attendant did a poor job throughout our visit, floors weren’t properly cleaned and items like cups and other amenities were not replaced or refreshed in the room. When we reported the issue, the housekeeping manager was unwilling to acknowledge the concern, which made the experience even more frustrating. Aside from that, everything else was good. The receptionist (unfortunately I don’t remember her name) was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable and the location is excellent.

Fantastic room and fantastic service. We stayed for three nights and our room was stunning, with a great view of the Minster. The room was silent, we never heard any noise from other rooms, and the air con kept us cool. Breakfasts were great and very relaxed, which suited us, and on our last day we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout until our train home. Housekeeping were phenomenal and kept our room feeling fresh throughout our stay too. The reception staff were beyond helpful, especially Ingrid, she did all she could to help make our stay special. Thank you Ingrid!

Small uncomfortable room compensated for by good customer service. We had a queen double room, the following problems were with the room: 1. No Cupboards / Wardrobes - (Open hanger rail with 4 hangers) 2. No Drawers 3. No Spare Pillows 4. Bed very low to the ground 5. No Control over Aircon 6. No opening windows / ventilation 7. No Heating 8. No spoon for coffee 9. Sliding door on shower room (could hear everything inside) 10. TV too big for room 11. No privacy because windows floor to ceiling 12. Food in bar / restaurant just 4 choices - snacks only 13. Breakfast had no fried, or boiled eggs, no porridge. 14. Aircon dries your lips and mouth after a while. The customer service was excellent, they text you when you arrive and check if everything is OK, its not a Bot or AI, its a real person and they do their best to help. However, they did not offer a different room. There was building going on outside our room, luckily we couldn't hear anything due to the windows being sealed. Breakfast is self-service with 2 coffee machines, a choice of scrambled eggs, beans, hash browns, tomatoes, sausages and bacon every day the same. A few cereals. No hot milk. Some pastries and yoghurt / frozen fruit. Only fresh fruit was apples. We stayed a few nights and after a while realised we could call reception and ask them to adjust the temperature in our room, this helped. But had to do it every day as it resets at 6am. Unfortunately, this hotel is not good for a holiday, its good for business because there's a corporate feel, its too business-like and not friendly enough. Location is fantastic for tourism, but next time I would book a family or more personalised place with radiators and windows that open.

Perfect for the town centre. Short walk in to the shambles. Quiet area. Lovely room, attentive staff. Had an issue with tv remote and was fixed within 15 minutes. Breakfast great. Plenty of choices. Well done everyone!

The location is great, and aesthetically the hotel and rooms are nice. The walls are paper thin and there are noises like pipes heating/cooling till the early hours of the morning. It was so loud in the room and kept us from sleeping. All of the staff, bar one, looked like they would rather be anywhere else and the service was reflective of that. The breakfast was mayhem. So busy, not enough food, plates, cutlery, drinks. Breakfast is supposed to be till 10 but they start clearing the food just before 10, so you need to have finished by then. It’s not really the breakfast window. Like most places now, they don’t bother to ask how your stay was. I find that really telling that they don’t want to hear the feedback.
