Such a good tour, I'm sure it must be the best in York. Mad Alice is knowledgeable, fun, entertaining and only slightly mad. Alice you will be glad to know I checked and they are all good. 😂. P.S. Slightly in awe of your name recall. Your obviously a very clever lady...
We recently enjoyed an overnight stay in York and wanted to experience something fun and memorable. We decided to join a ghost tour, and were fortunate to be guided by Lady Peckett (a colleague of Mad Alice). She was absolutely outstanding—full of energy, character, and genuine interest in the group. Impressively, she remembered the names of all (a good 30 people!) which added a wonderfully personal touch. Her storytelling was engaging, informative, and highly interactive, making the evening both entertaining and educational. An excellent experience that we would highly recommend.
Of all the times we’ve been to York and Halloween approaching, myself and teen daughter decided that we must do a ghost walk. We researched a few and decided on this one…. -We, were not disappointed! Our tour was 6pm on 30th October. Not one complaint or one suggestion, as we found it absolutely fantastic. Literally, from start to finish. Our tour guide, A-mazing!! A job very well done indeed. Engaging, spoke clearly, informative, humorous, safety aware when proceeding on foot around the city and tried to speak with everyone in the group. The amount of knowledge this lady had about, York, Yorkshire and the history was quite remarkable. We loved it. Thank you so much.
I was tired, and I was still entertained! I stayed awake! How can Mad Alice remember various people’s names, she is brilliant and very engaging. She has a lusty voice and uses it with energy! What I want to know is this: can she still give this much at the 8 pm tour? ❤️🩵💚🩷🧡💙
Mad Alice was amazing. By far the best haunted tour I have ever been on. She was funny, engaging and delivered the historical facts in a way that made some laugh and others jump with fear. This woman could make it in theatre if she has not already. The stories were relevant and delivered with all the content to make them believable. I highly recommend this one to anyone that loves these kind of tours.
