Quick little stop gap for a hot drink and a snack when we arrived in York! The hash browns were the perfect choice .. so warm and comforting.. the hot drinks were a little slow to arrive but overall great service and food. Location is ideal and plenty of seating upstairs too .. lovely old building where the stairs or lopsided making you feel like you’re drunk walking up them 😂
This is honestly my go to cafe in York at the moment. I have come a couple of times with my son and the staff are always super friendly and accommodating. I came in on Wednesday in the morning and the staff that were working were amazing. Their sourdough bread is always the best. Honestly an amazing cafe, with amazing staff and top tier vibes
This was a standout stop on our Kaldi Coffee Trail while visiting York. The coffee hit the mark, smooth and brewed just right. The team were warm and welcoming throughout and the overall vibe of the place is what we were looking for in a coffee stop off. As soon as we walked in and saw the motorbike and surfboards on the wall we knew we were in the right place! It’s the kind of spot that makes exploring independent coffee shops worth it. Big thanks to the crew for the great service, we’ll definitely swing by again when the trail brings us back to York.
Early Saturday morning dropped in for a cup of coffee with our dog for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. We ordered two Latte with Almond milk, it was delicious. Nice coffee. Very friendly staff. It’s a dog friendly cafe, what’s the reason we decided to pay for a visit. There are not many places in York dog friendly. Very special decorations inside, it’s very interesting, an old motorcycle and two of three surfing boards on the wall, the wall near the ceiling still keeps some parts of the old wall on. You can walk into Fat Face from the cafe when the Fat Face is open. It’s a very good spot to go, also very popular.
Food was unbelievable. Fastest I’ve ever eaten a brunch. Took me 4 minutes to finish everything. I got ‘The Benedict One’ & my partner got ‘Avocado on Toast with Hot Honey’ and said her’s was really good too. Drinks wise, I got the ‘peanut butter granola shake with protein powder’ and my partner got a simple peppermint tea. Service is nice and quick and definitely worth the wait. Atmosphere is calm & relaxing as a brunch place should be. Dogs allowed! Prices good too. Student discount available.
