Interesting piece of history hidden away just off the main street. There isn't a great deal left of the house but the fact that even a small part of it has managed to survive makes it worth a quick look. There is a little sign above the entrance to the alley that leads to the remains but you have to keep your eye out or you'll miss it. Only downside, the area seems to be used to store bins, which is a real shame.

Interesting bit of hidden York history. It would be great if they kept the area free of bins and added benches as it is such a peaceful little spot

It's tucked away behind Stonegate and easily missed. I went to see the new Ghost In the Garden sculpture. Was a very good one.

So glad to see this piece of history , however once you enter to the small square there are trashcans next to the wall etc, I think the city should do more like install benches or so as it's a piece of another era.

Entered from Stonegate through a passageway at 52A, a surprising find but not much to it as it's a ruin.
