|One of the most delightful dining experiences in Yorkshire is soon coming to a close for the summer season. The Haworth Haddock summer steam specials at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway are set to have their last two outings of 2026 on 8th August and 12th September. These events have become incredibly popular, with tickets flying off the shelves, so anyone interested is urged to book quickly.
Unique Evening Experience
The Haworth Haddock special offers a unique combination of heritage steam travel, delicious local food, and live music, creating an unforgettable evening for all aboard. Guests begin their journey at Oxenhope Station, where they climb aboard a vintage steam train. The atmosphere is lively, and the anticipation builds as everyone settles in for a special night. Once the train departs for Keighley, diners are treated to award-winning fish and chips from Jacks Fisheries, a local favourite based in Crossflatts. The fish and chips are served right at the passengers' tables, allowing everyone to enjoy their meal as they take in the stunning views of the Yorkshire countryside rolling by outside the windows. It's not just a meal; it’s an experience that blends tradition and taste.
Live Entertainment
After the train returns to Oxenhope, guests have a chance to stretch their legs before the train gets ready for the return journey. The atmosphere shifts to a lively party vibe as a live band performs on the station platform. This is a perfect opportunity for guests to relax with a drink, soak up the vibrant atmosphere, or even dance along to the music before boarding the train for the final leg back to Oxenhope. A fully licensed bar is available on board, offering a range of drinks, including bottled real ales, lagers, ciders, wines, and soft drinks. Guests can also pre-order their drinks when booking, ensuring that everything is ready for them as they embark on their journey.
