Owner’s Description

A Georgian Grange built in the age of frivolity and fun, our home is exactly how it’s creator intended; a treasure trove of exciting and elegant spaces.

Set within sixteen acres of English gardens, ornate, busy and full of charm, arrive to a sweeping drive way, Palladian bays in the distance. Inside, discover our relaxed reception area, a fire, sofas and Larkins yarns adorning the walls. Peak to the left to find our intimate Broadley Room; a space to sit, a space to gather and a space to celebrate. Right ahead, our restaurant HIDE; cloaked in raw silks and hand stitched leathers, there’s no place better to embark on a culinary adventure. A few footsteps more and we reach The Library, cool blues paired with the vibrant works of Hockney and umpteen hand crafted sofas to sink into…Morning coffee, a long and lazy lunch, Afternoon Tea by the fireside, cocktails to greet the night ~ it transitions perfectly as the day wares on.

Finally, tucked just off our pretty courtyard, The Rose Room. A room of love, laughter and possibilities. Grand, airy and adjoined to our Garden Room, wicker chairs and lavender lining the vista, take over our gorgeous two and throw the very best do’

Country your thing? Not to worry, our Georgian dowager has all kinds of tricks up her sleeve. The Edwardian era witnessed a need for more and so our Grange was swiftly treated to a set of pretty cottages, a fold yard, a chauffeurs garage and a byre beyond. Sitting at the top of our country lane, the garage and fold yard have today come together to make ‘The Farmstead.’ Wrapped in a carpet of nature and treated to a sprinkling of country luxe, there truly is no other nook like it.

At the heart of all that we do, our food tells the story of who we are. Sprawled across an array of dreamy spaces and headed up by two young yorkshire men with a bounce in their step, every plate that leaves our pass tells our tale of individuality, style, passion and a dash of Palladian panache.

Organic, local, artisan and all the Yorkshire buzz words under the sun…dine in our restaurant ‘HIDE’ where our food sings of skill and the sublime. Lounge in ‘The Library’ where Georgian Hot Cakes, sweet or savoury, are our favourite fayre of the day, everyday. Indulge in our award winning Afternoon Tea, never naughty always divine, or, if the mood should take you, takeover our Farmstead to feast by the fires.

Breakfast? Yes, always…Always local. Always fresh and always bountiful. This is Yorkshire after all.
