Food was fresh and made to order during a quieter period. Staff were friendly and came to our table to make us aware of a small delay which cooking fresh which we did not mind. Order machine didn’t provide a receipt which is a shame as I like to have one. Tables needed a bit of a wipe as there were some crumbs but no sticky residue which was good. Overall good experience and good food.
Excellent breakfast at Popeyes. Had the Big Cajun Roll Breakfast meal deal, which I thought was good value. Opted for table service, which didn't take too long. Service with a smile from a friendly member of staff. The roll was really tasty and the Cajun spices were a delicious and brilliant kick to the taste buds, making a great start to the day. The side hash brown was also loaded with flavour, although it would have been better if it had been crispy, rather than slightly soggy. Bright and clean interior, easy parking. Will definitely return.
Props to the manager Nicole who was really kind and helpful. Popeyes, you’re lucky to have her! Foods great too!
I've just struggled to find a clean table. I wish I was exaggerating. Every single one was dirty. I noticed the staffing was low. Only spotted three people so I'm not going to be mad. They are clearly busy elsewhere. I've just switched to take out.
This was the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had. We visited less than a week ago, and at first the place was relatively quiet. A few minutes later, however, a group of 15–20 people arrived to place their orders. The poor young woman working at the counter seemed to be managing everything almost entirely on her own, with just one other person in the kitchen preparing food. She was responsible for cleaning tables, maintaining the toilets, taking counter orders, handling drive-thru orders, and managing delivery orders that were already coming in when I arrived. She genuinely tried her best, but eventually broke down from the pressure. There was another man standing nearby, possibly a shift manager, but he didn’t seem particularly busy or helpful. Watching that overwhelmed employee, I couldn’t help but feel reminded that even in England in 2025, some workers are treated like modern-day slaves—expected to perform impossible tasks under impossible conditions. Realistically, there should have been at least five staff members on that shift, but there were only the two I mentioned. As for the food, it was terrible. I’ve eaten plenty of fried chicken in the US, and this tasted nothing like what fried chicken should. It was simply disgusting—but perhaps this is considered the “standard” in the UK. On top of that, it took more than 40 minutes for our order to be prepared—through no fault of the overwhelmed young woman at the counter, but simply because the restaurant was so poorly staffed. Hardly what anyone would call “fast food.” After this experience, I will never set foot in a Popeyes anywhere in the UK again
