I have never been so annoyed as I am now. I have shopped at Aldi for several years now, but after the service in Barnsley's Claycliffe Road, I certainly won't be coming back here again. The till person practically threw my shopping down the belt so hard some of my shopping ended upon the floor !!!!! I was still trying to put over half my shopping away when she wanted payment. I had only just finished packing when the next person's shopping was being scanned.

Standard Aldi - Low prices, but with a reduced selection to choose from. Great for all the essentials, but you might need to visit a larger supermarket for the more obscure items. This store in particular seems to take a long time replenishing certain stock, maybe due to delivery issues. Checkouts can be troublesome with long queues, particularly when a manager is needed but nowhere to be found. Staff are generally friendly and efficient, but I’d definitely avoid here at busy times unless you enjoy trolleys filled with screaming children blocking every isle as their clueless owners argue about bog roll and ketchup.

So much easier now there are self service tills. They really help when you’re only buying a few items and work really well. There is also always someone on hand to assist should you need it. Also, the wagyu meatballs are amazing!

Great store, I just don't rate the longevity of the fruit.
