Screwfix Birstall

I made a wrong online ordering to Gelderd lane, Holbeck, instead of Gelderd Road, Birstall. Staffs in Birstall store are very helpful and fixed it in minutes. Thanks a lot!

A fantastic young lady served me today, unfortunately they didn't have the hinges I was looking for but she went above and beyond to help me and I was able to order them on Amazon. First class service.

I went into the store to pick up a few items and return one. The first employee I spoke to was polite, but she said she needed a manager to handle the refund. When the manager came over, he just took the item without processing the refund in front of me. I asked if he needed anything else from me, like a postcode for the account, but he said no and that the refund would go through automatically. I found this strange. I didn’t receive any email confirming the refund, and when I checked my Screwfix account five days later it showed the item as refunded, but no money had gone back into my bank. I contacted Screwfix customer service and was told the refund had been “corrupted” and they would manually issue it. Given the odd experience in the store, I find it suspicious that the refund ended up corrupted.

Absolutely great experience. I went in on my day off (Monday of this week) unsure of what part to buy to replace my bathroom light, I showed them pictures and they helped pick out a model, explain the fixture and how best to install it as I am not the most confident at DIY. When I asked for further clarification they got another staff member who knew more to explain the extremely details. I left with all the knowledge needed to feel confident that I got the right parts and how to install it. I will definitely be going there again for any parts I may need to buy in the future.
