The best I can describe the staff is surly, it ruined the whole atmosphere of a traditional English pub that has great potential. Would definitely not return or suggest that anyone visits this place only to feel completely unwelcome. I later spoke with some local people who have lived in BB for most of their lives who told me that most truly local people don't go there anymore due to the unfriendly atmosphere. Such a shame to waste such potential.
Guy behind the bar was miserable and rude, told us to get away from the bar before we even had time to get our pints off the bar. Then started getting emotional and still complaining to us after we had tried to sit down. Embarrassed himself in front of the other 3 people in total that were in there. We left without even touching our drinks because we weren't dealing with this kind of rudeness from an employee. Explains why you don't see many people in there even on a Saturday night, locals don't come here anymore because of this guy's behaviour and attitude.
Extremely rude and bad service. Talked to some locals after we had gone there and they said that's why the locals no longer go into this place, because the guy behind the bar is miserable and has a negative attitude toward customers. Beer was bad as well, I asked for a snakebite and they just said no. Don't waste your time and money here.
Absolutely lovely local with friendly staff and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Great selection of tasty drinks to choose from as well. Thanks to John and the team for being so welcoming!
We were keen to try this old inn, but as it turned out the guy at the bar was abrasive and unpleasant. Definitely would not recommend anyone to visit this place where you are made to feel unwelcome from the moment you step inside.
