A lovely pub with accommodation. We stayed in the two twin beds room which was perfectly comfortable with good facilities. Quirky decoration and paid lovely homage to the local area with touches of Yorkshire. Staff were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, really enjoyable and would visit again just for that!
Didn't stay over so the rating is for food only. Had a birthday meal here, a lovely fish pie with greens. The service as brilliant, attentive and kind staff who made us and our dog feel very welcome. Better service than at some of the fancy restaurants we visit. The fire was on and a great cosy atmosphere and they sang happy birthday to me which was so kind. We had no starters so shared cheese and biscuits after and had chocolate mousse dessert. Everything was delicious, warm, well presented and a lovely experience. Thank you.
Perfect one night stay. Great location for local area. Lovely traditional pub - loved all the Christmas decorations Fabulous large room with quirky Yorkshire twist. Friendly staff Evening meal & breakfast was fantastic Definitely will come back
Last minute Sunday roast plans - the lunch was so so good, opted for beef which was just fabulous; It literally cut like butter. Veggies cooked to perfection & yorkshire puddings were gigantic. Really what Sundays are made for. And the lovely Georgia was fantastic start to finish. So lucky to have this on our doorstep. X
Really enjoyed our meal at Grantham Arms, staff were very accommodating, kind and generous. We arrived early for our booking and we were welcomed and accommodated for. The drinks and food are well priced, and matching the excellent quality of the food as well. Would definitely recommend and come again.
