The Crown Hotel

Hotel is stunning! Rooms are designed with beautiful pictures that match the bedding. Bathrooms functional, shower is powerful. All areas of hotel are clean. Food is excellent and staff are friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Pool facilities are excellent. We repeatedly book for a truly relaxing break. Thanks to all, manager and staff.

My Wife and I visited The Crown Hotel for a relaxing weekend break. We booked a superior room with breakfast included. Upon booking we received confirmation and the opportunity to also book a table for evening dinner in the Hotel if we wished. We chose to take advantage of 'eating in' and pre-booked. We also completed a pre-arrival check-in online that was very straightforward. We arrived and received a very warm welcome at reception. The Hotel certainly didn't disappoint either. Our room was lovely, spacious, warm and with all the facilities as described. Tea/coffee and an expresso maker with pods too. ☕️. We took advantage of the Pool and Spa facilities which are included as part of the stay. Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna & pool. The pool was lovely and warm - very relaxing. Facilities were clean with towels provided for the spa and everything was spotless. We went to the Hotel restaurant and were very impressed with the dining room. Beautifully presented tables, relaxed atmosphere and great menu. Table service was excellent (Thank you to Emma & staff) ... The food we ordered was superb. Next morning we returned to the Hotel restaurant for breakfast. We were welcomed by Ian who seated us and provided menus for breakfast. Tea & Coffee was brought to the table along with our breakfast orders prepared in the kitchens. We felt the hotel & staff really make the effort to provide an excellent service. We really enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would have no hesitation returning again when we visit Yorkshire. Definitely a 10 out of 10 from us ... sadly our visit was over too soon. Beautiful village, full of history . There is a lovely walk route around the village. The hotel is gorgeous although a little expensive at the bar. It is steeped with history as it is 100s years old it has fabulous decor and comfort. Rooms have everything u need , ie iron ,hairdryer. A kettle and expresso machine also literature tellibg you the history and pkacrs to bisit. It has separate dining room , a bar and a coffee room . There is also a leisure centre with steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool all included with your stay . The staff are so welcoming . The village has lots of little shops to browse, there is also a Spar, a chippy , pizza shop, restaurants and 3 lovely pubs. It is close to Harrogate and around an hour to York.

The rooms are lovely. Warm, cosy and well decorated. They come with more than the usual extras. The cleaning staff were great when I explained I don’t drink coffee, immediately offering me more tea. The pool and wellness facilities are available to guests all day unlike other hotels where you can use them for an hour. But the star has to be the staff led by Emma. She works a long day- we are counting about 12 hours now. She had the time and energy for everyone from locals at the bar to the guests (and even including the dogs). She has a smile on her face the whole time. (I’m not sure I could after 12 hours) well done! And thank you for making my birthday that little more special. The coaching inn group should be pleased to have the whole team.

Stay: We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Crown Hotel Boroughbridge. The staff were very helpful and friendly and advised us on everything that the hotel had to offer including the leisure facilities. The staff were helpful to fix the television that didn’t work when we arrived in our room. Our room was very comfortable and had everything that we would need for a comfortable night. The hotel was located in a quiet area and is a short walk to the town and the shops. This is our second stay at a this hotel and we will book to stay again. I would recommend The Crown for stays close to York and North Yorkshire.
