Finding the recently opened Darley Street Market was a real joy! On my last visit to Bradford it had not yet opened so it was a real treat to explore it today. The ground floor has lots of independent traders selling all manner of services including, wigs, wool and clothing; there are also 2 cafes and toilets on this floor other with a multi faith room. The escalators take you up to the Food Hall with some very tempting offerings from many cultures. The top floor is the kitchen area with food stalls selling everything from icecream to loaded fries, jerk chicken and sushi. It’s clean, well presented, meal prices reasonable and the background music is not too loud. Additional seating outside on this floor and the ground floor. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing. I pop in here on my way home from work and it takes me 5 mins to get what I need from a range of brilliant vendors. Brilliant quality meat, fish and fruit and veg as well as excellent dried goods- basics to all the fancy stuff you’d struggle to find in a supermarket. Upstairs lovely for food and drinks too. Also- beautiful building and sense of community. Support local.

What can one say ? It’s been open a few short months millions have been spent … rents and rates are astronomical and the offering is somewhat mixed … on entry I was greeted to the sight of a perfume stall holder muscle bound displaying his boxing and martial arts moves to staff and customers alike … he looked a fool and caused to women to repel in shock … the downstairs is no better than a jumble sale in a shed full of bits and pieces not at all in keeping with the vision I fear. The middle floor has a number of well presented stalls notable are the fishmongers and butchers which are spotless … many of the others can be best described as mucky bordering on filthy of note is Bakehouse which doesn’t seemed to have cleaned its cabinets let alone its glass display since it opened, others are also in somewhat disarray. Up stairs is the much vaunted food court prices are fair but many offerings are poor the Northern bar is well kept but Perc Up patisserie and coffee is best avoided with frozen deserts that are very poor and at best average coffee the Paste de Nata among others is soggy not crisp and is nothing like it should be … I could go on and on but frankly poor management (get a grip) and attention to detail are the problem here … typical local authority shambles … such a shame !

Went up to the top floor into a beautiful food hall ,and had sushi for lunch which was delicious. Loads of different food options to choose from in a lovely spacious top floor . Spotlessly clean toilets and the escalators work woop woop😂😂. Trump should visit Amazing place to visit . Parked in Broadway carpark for 2 hours 45 mins and it cost 3 pounds .

First time in newly open Darley St. Market. We browsed the various shops at ground level, similar to what we had the golden days of kirgate market. But was makes the difference is the first floor with superb quality produce, for all kinds of tastes. Lastly on the food hall there is a plethora of restaurants. I would recommend the Turkish inspired patisserie near the balcony, with freshly made deserts. Note that on weekends it gets really crowded, so plan to visit weekdays or try to get in early.
