Not the biggest discount store, but, recent changes to the store makes it redundant.
Everything is nice and tidy and drinks selection is great if you need a cheap drink in kirkgate market! However the smell in this store is a little bit off putting when you are looking round. Staff were nice and helpful in the till area.
Poundland Kirkgate offers a good selection of items, making it convenient for a quick shop. However, during my visit, I noticed a lot of items were out of stock, which was disappointing. The store also had a rather unpleasant smell, which made the experience less enjoyable. While it��s still a handy spot for essentials, the overall atmosphere could use some improvement.
The store itself has plenty of options and most of the staff are friendly. I did however have a bad experience with a member of staff who was rude to me before I even had a chance to get to her till. I can only hope Poundland takes note and gives her the correct training in customer service, before she gets herself in some serious trouble.
For a pound for 2 pies, pasties or sausage rolls, feeding good quality and filing food to a family on a shopping trip has just been made easier. The food is tasty, but obviously you get what you pay for, don't expect a gourmet dining experience, but for what it costs, there are no real issues with either taste or quality. Look out for the occasional offers and special limited edition products.
