PureGym Selby

When I moved back to the Selby area, I had a hard time finding a gym where I genuinely felt comfortable. Joining PureGym Selby has completely changed that. The staff are always friendly, the equipment is well looked after, and the whole place is kept really clean. I usually go in the evenings when it’s quieter, and I never struggle to get on the machines I need - something that’s been a problem for me at other gyms. It’s really helped me regain my confidence, and I’m glad I joined.

I’ve been using gyms for some years now, including private and community gyms, I have been a member at Selby for approximately 8 months now. I find the Staff very helpful, friendly, also willing to give advice when asked, never inviting themselves unless you wish them to help. The gym itself is cleaner than the normal gym, this includes the changing area and toilets. This is down to the enthusiasm of the staff in keeping high standards. The equipment is modern/excellent, well maintained, if there is an issue it is swiftly repaired. The building is kept to a high standard, I have noticed on a few occasions painting work being carried out. So overall: staff/cleaners/equipment/maintenance teams all work well to a very high standard to keep this gym the best in the area. Well done.🙂🙂

Started at Pure Gym 18months ago and love it. All the trainers are friendly, approachable and knowledgable. The machines are well maintained and clean. I've never felt confident in other gyms to use the weights section but other members are friendly and respectful. The main improvement for me has been muscle mass after attending their fabulous Strength, Pump and Burn classes. All are welcome no matter age, size or ability; a definite 5 stars. My only constructive criticism would be the space attached to the gym which isn't being utilised could house more equipment and/or a Spin studio.

Pure Gym Selby, I’ve tried many different Gyms all in the Selby area and for the price this is ideal. I pay for the upgrade membership allowing me access to the flavoured water station and any other Pure Gym in the UK. I’ve visited a few different locations; Liverpool, Manchester and York. Selby’s is by far the cleanest and the most well kept of them all. The classes are great with a good range of Instructors/trainers that alter them to their own strengths meaning it’s very varied and challenging. Also speaking of the instructors they also remember peoples names (I’ve not had any 1-1 sessions) and do frequently drop in to see how you are etc so looking after the mental health side of things too. Equipment is very rarely broken or unusable and if it is then it’s rectified very quickly. For context I use the gym 4-5 times per week and have done since it opened.

I hadn't stepped foot in a gym for years when I started going to PureGym Selby. The staff are great for advice and making you feel welcome and do a good job keeping it nice and clean. There's a good variety of equipment and it's a very inclusive atmosphere. Would happily recommend to anyone.
