Lobster Pot by Marston's Inns

I liked how easy it was to check in and out. That the atmosphere was relaxed. That we were able to go and get a great value breakfast when we were ready to. That the staff were polite and did a good job. It was clean and all the extras you need (kettle, hairdryer, towels, body wash, hangers, tea & coffee) are provided.It's in a great location; only a 20min walk from the station and from the SPA.The checking out time (11am) I feel is reasonable too.

We stayed here unexpectedly but will definitely return. The rooms are nice and clean, location great, free parking and amazing pub. Big shout out to Nathan who really turned our night around!! His happy, professional, friendly attitude really made a difference to us and our stay. We’d not had a great evening and all that changed when we checked in at the lobster pot. Nathan is a superstar and whatever you are paying him cannot be enough! Thanks again Nathan we owe you one!

The rooms very in price. I purchased my room for £103 for one night however I did speak to somebody else who got the exact same room for £68. That said the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The facilities were very good, and the adjacent pub was also very good. I would consider staying again but would definitely contact the hotel direct to try and negotiate the best possible price.

Everything was good apart from the service in our room there was only 1 tea bag for a cup of tea and only four milk. As a couple even if you only have 1 cup each wasn't given enough had to go over to the pub to get more. Phoned night porter to be told he was at home and told if needed anything to go to pub. Only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel again told go pub. Breakfast was clean and nice was asked what we wanted didn't get it right I wanted mushroom bacon poached egg beans instead I got hash browns black pudding tomato half sausage and fried egg. Wasn't asked if everything was OK. Was only offered 1 drink and when asked for another tea we was tutted at.

Lovely place to stay. Staff were friendly, process of booking was easy . Room was lovely and the food was delicious. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you .
