Went up north from London for a funeral and stayed overnight. We arrived very late at night, but the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The price was very reasonable for a family-sized room, and to our surprise, they even offered us a free breakfast. For the service and the price, you really can’t beat it. Totally recommended!

Cockroach in the bathroom No communication with booking.com so hotel were not aware we were coming and luckily there was a room free for us after travelling 7 hours. We are very polite people so there is no reason to be rude. The receptionist at the front was extremely rude. No manners and literally every time I greeted him he looked at me in a strange way and ignored me. Made me feel very uncomfortable. No choices for breakfast- just scrambled eggs, sausages and beans. No room for dietary requirements and no server greeted us or offered us anything. I think the staff are miserable and do not like their jobs- that is what it seems. Location is nice- right next to a stream with ducks. Town centre so very noisy at night. Floor boards are creeky so you can hear everything including doors slamming which made us jump several times at night time. When we checked out they said nothing to us so we just handed our key card over. We felt unwanted. Rooms outdated, walls cracked. One thing I will say is the shower and sink were extremely clean and shiny. There is a kettle with tea and coffee (no biscuits but we aren’t fussy with the little things). I wouldn’t be back on my next visit.

Worst hotel and management. I did the booking through booking.com and the address picked by the their website was not correct. Booking.com accepted their mistake and paid me a compensation for the inconvenience but asked to make a refund request myself to the hotel. The hotel staff was quite rude, sounded greedy and non-courteous. I clearly explained but they simply ended up saying that they can't issue refund because it was booking.com fault and not ours. That was very unprofessional and non-customer centric. I won't recommend to use this hotel ever to anyone.

I have been staying at Cambridge Hotel in brighouse a few times now, I like that it is next to a canal and looking over you can see a quarry and the beds are so comfy, Nice comfortable place to stay. Excellent customer service, They have refrigerators in their rooms you dont get to see them anywhere else so I did little shop at Sainsbury's instead of me buying takeaways 😁 I would not recommend anywhere else 😊👌🏼

A baby cried all night. Loud drunk people late at night. I would have got better sleep in my car!
