Jav's Authentic Indian Cuisine

Tried this place the other day, decided to eat inside after driving most of the day rest and recoup was the order of the day! Inside is quite basic without any toilets but meets the need to sit down and eat your food. Ordered Pakora starter and poppadom with pickle tray, Pakoras where very nice and tasty with a nice light batter well seasoned. Poppadoms where also nice not too greasy and a good crunch with moreish flavour, pickle tray was just some small tubs of different sauces but again quite nice. Main was chicken madras and pilau rice with a garlic naan, the naan was super fresh and tasty, fluffy texture and nice amount of garlic, the rice was also delicious looks like it's been colours with turmeric and spices. The curry was a slight letdown, the chicken chunks are tiny and the flavour had much more of a sour tang to it than I wanted but maybe that just personal preference, I will try a different curry next time instead. Would I reccomend? Yes definitely worth a try, I enjoyed it overall.

Absoloutely beautiful food as always, we order from ponteftact and the food always arrives still piping hot. The food is really tasty and looks amazing also. Today our order was butter chicken with rice, javs special balti which had a mix of chicken and mutton with vegetables, chapattis, a portion of chips and curry sauce. These guys never ever disappoint us.

I had an awful experience with Jav’s and will never be ordering again. Our delivery turned into a nightmare when we were informed that the driver was pulled over by police and could not complete the delivery. We were told this was due to issues with insurance and licensing, which is extremely concerning for a business that delivers food to customers. What made the situation even worse was the restaurant’s response. Despite the inconvenience, wasted time, and stress, Jav’s refused to offer any form of compensation or accountability. No refund, no credit, no apology that felt sincere—just excuses. If a restaurant is using drivers who aren’t properly prepared or compliant, that’s a serious problem. The lack of professionalism and customer care shown here speaks volumes. There are plenty of other places that value their customers’ safety and time—this isn’t one of them. Avoid if you value reliability and basic customer service.

We are regular customers here and order the same spinach curry which on numerous occasions has been lovely. However on this occasion, the curry was over oiled and full of grease. There was no flavour at all. It is understood that all curries have oil in but this is supposed to be a creamy curry not one where there is an oily film on top of it. When reporting this to the staff, we were told that it was our fault for not asking for so much oil. Very poor customer service for someone who is a regular customer and always given high praise in the past. Will not be returning again. Poor customer service and food received was inedible with no recognition from staff. Very disappointing.

The attention to detail in the food is outstanding. You can taste the love that has gone into it. Absolutely beautiful. Delivery person is extremely polite and Fara (front of house), again super polite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
