This is the best pizza place in Castleford. The staff are so polite and friendly, especially the young man making the pizzas and serving at the shop front - he's a credit to himself and a great advert for Papa John's. The pizzas are consistently great, flavoursome and cooked perfectly. I usually pick up an order but their delivery drivers are great as well. Everyone should seriously go here, the pizzas are 1st class and I can't state enough how great the staff are, especially the guy making pizzas and serving customers - he deserves real recognition for his demeanor, attitude and customer service skills.
I am not a regular pizza eater but when I do order one, I get it from a local pizza takeaway in Castleford Prima Pizza, which I have been going to since it opened in 1986 and worked at when it first opened. I got an email from Papa Johns having used you in the past which offered a large pizza for £12. I clicked on the link and ordered it via PayPal. After the payment went through, I noticed you did not charge me the price in my offer email but one £2 higher. After my pizza was delivered by a very nice delivery person it all went downhill. The topping was sparse and under cooked and the pizza base was tasteless it was like eating carboard. In fact, I did look under the pizza to see if some paper was stuck to the base of the pizza and it was not. How can any well-made pizza be produced with no herbs or seasoning. If the herbs and seasoning are in you tomato base then I am afraid the recipe needs looking at because the overall taste of the pizza was negative. Hopefully I will not forget how bad your pizza is and order another when I get a cheap offer.
Deliveroo failed to deliver my order due to drivers not accepting my order. The restaurant closed and still no driver from Deliveroo. The staff took it upon themselves to order my food so it wouldn't go to waste. No extra charges from them. Amazing staff, shame on Deliveroo for failing on their behalf. They've made a life-long customer from this act of kindness
One thing I appreciate most is their consistency. You know what you’re getting every time—great pizza, fair prices, and excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality pizza that hits the spot every single time. Keep up the great work, Papa John’s!
