I went for my flu jab today and the pharmacist (didn’t catch her name but I believe she was French) who administered it was fantastic. She was very friendly and chatty and made me feel at ease. She even sang happy birthday to me!! Excellent service
This has to be the worst chemist of all time. 3 times they swore blind that they didn’t have my morphine prescription. I had to go 3 days without the liquid morphine or the morphine tablets. Be careful of the times there open, as there forever closing for a break. Put a prescription in for 11 items and walked out with only 2 items. Very rude staff, that are incompetent. Avoid at all costs!!!
No details on the website or at the pharmacy as to when they close for lunch. Wasn't of time me going to pick up a prescription. Typical big supermarket lackadaisical Attitude to Customers. I’ll go to the local pharmacy from now on… disappointed again! ( tiny description on a board, that is hidden away)
Been here quite a few times but each time, even if there isn't a queue, kept waiting (last time 20 minutes). Staff in counter friendly and helpful, not sure can say the same for pharmacist(s), took son in recently for suspected eye infection, didn't even look at his eyes and just told an assistant to give allergy eye drops.......next (3 days later with no improvement )we go to drop in GP centre to be told has eye infection and needs antibiotics! Would it have been difficult just to take a look at him first? Disappointing.
Terrible service time after time, pharmacist on a power trip. I have severe allergic reactions to insect bites something ive been hospitalised for intravenous antibiotics several times. The NHS brought out a new policy last year whereby pharmacists can now prescribe antibiotics for several ailments, insect bites included. Pharmacist didnt even look at my leg the staff member looked and said omg yeah I can see that's infected you will need to see the pharmacist, he was in the consultation room with paperwork and without even looking at my leg the staff member relayed a message to me that he was extremely busy today and has appointments all day. Who's making an appointment with a pharmacist? youre not a GP as much as you want to be one unfortunately. said I had to wait 5 days but the red ring had already stretched across my entire lower calf which id tracked for the last 48 hours. Told me to go to Wells pharmacy where I was told the same thing, pharmacist didnt even see me but the staff member did and had the same reaction as the staff at asda. Related pharmacists? told me to come back in an hour however I went to castleford pharmacy on the high street and was seen and prescribed immediately. Don't go to asda or Wells this isnt the first time ive had terrible service but this was my last straw. The NHS place these policies to aid pressure on GP services and a&e and they arent able to follow them correctly, if I hadnt of gone to castleford high street pharmacy I would have needed emergency services and intravenous antibiotics, putting more strain on the NHS. The problem is internal. Asda pharmacy lacks the core objective of healthcare being CARE.
