This review is for older friends. This company have taken their money for roof repair in Hull have left massive hole in the loft. They didn't know as they are elderly till water started leaking in and a friend went up to look. This couple struggled to pull the money together for the initial repair and now are left with damage and no word from the gentleman that runs the company. Do Not use

Came out and “fixed” my roof. Winter comes around a few months later and it’s still leaking. Rang Richard, most bizarre conversation ever. “How much did you pay” was his response. £750… whats that got to do with anything?! Promised he’d come and have a look. Never showed up. Tried ringing again and never answered. Finally got a proper roofing company around who said what these cowboys had done to fix it would never ever of stopped the leaking! Avoid like the plague. Cowboys.

Very rude. They contacted me instantly after I express my interest looking at their ad in social media. Next day they hanged the phone on me in my face while I was trying to explain that I am looking for a quote for a roof replacement. They are not willing to give quotes. They just want jobs. I’m glad they hanged up because in this way they showed me quickly that I have to avoid them. I can’t believe how this people are out trading in the wild…

Richard and his team came round and quoted me for a new roof. Work was completed to my satisfaction and the work was top class thanks gb roofing will definitely use again thankyou

Be careful about these builders exploiting you financially as I have experienced. Initially they came to clean gutters for a bargain price of £40 and in the end my partner and I were persuaded it would be in our best interests to have a chimney repointed and roof tiles repaired and some eaves inserted under tiles to prevent nesting birds for a total cost of £2300. Having no idea of the usual costs of such work but blown away by Richard Hunter’s charm and apparent good will, my partner and I agreed to the price and work resumed. A few hours later we realised from online research that the cost of the work was “way over” but at that point I felt reluctantly I was obliged to pay the agreed cost At the end of the job Richard H asked for immediate payment by online bank transfer. Only having a telephone banking account and my bank having closed business for the day I couldn’t pay as requested. There was a heated exchange which resulted in a neighbour calling the police and when they arrived thing calmed down and it was agreed I would pay in the morning. A day later another builder came and said he would have charged less than half the GB builders price but reckoned that the work they had done was OK Motto for me was always get a number of quotes for roofing jobs beforehand and avoid GB builders in future.
