Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre

My friend and I visit here once a week, the shop and stall holders are always very friendly. Sadly at the moment there are quite a few empty shops, but still work visiting and spending money to help the trader's.

Recently moved to the surrounding area, love Castleford centre, great bus & train station which both have toilets. Great shopping experience if you've got fed up & tired of Leeds City Centre with all the student accomadation & lack of shops that are closing down & being turned into eateries. Get yourself on a bus and have a day out with plenty of charity shops. The Charlton Shopping plaza & market are great to have a gentle perusal & bargains are to be had...

Tried to go today but unless you have cash, you can't park so therefore ended up leaving all for the sake of a pound. I felt like I had gone ten years back in time.

This is a rather large shopping centre with a solid range of outlets, enclosed by a glorious glass roof! A smooth design style is used for the buildings throughout and the navigation system is an easily understandable one, merely showing directional arrows. I enjoyed the shops CeX and Iceland, which I made my way to comfortably across the square-tiled floor.

Plenty parking and very cheap. £1 for 2hours. A few good shops like Sisters Style (ladies clothing) and a little sports shop selling all sorts of rugby gear.
