I visited this Tesco on Saturday morning at 06:45 after finishing a night shift. I went over to the reduced section and a member of staff was still labelling items, which is fair enough. I walked around and came back about 20 minutes later, but she was still labelling. When I stood near the fridge, she asked me in a rude manner what I wanted, totally uncalled for!! The worst part was at the self-checkouts. I bought some reduced chicken and realised I’d forgotten to put back the one already in my trolley, so I politely asked a staff member if he could take it. The way he looked at another staff member with a nasty grin made me feel like I’d done something wrong! After that, he stood right next to my trolley watching my every move.. I couldn’t fit any more items on the self-checkout, so I left a 12-pack of water in the trolley to scan once I’d finished. The way he was glaring at me made me extremely uncomfortable, like he was waiting for me to steal it, even though it was obvious I just had no space. When I got home, I noticed that the ‘fresh’ vegetables I paid full price for were dated the day before, and another bag had a use-by date of the same day which should have been in the reduced section! The last thing you want after a night shift or at any time for that matter is to feel watched, judged, and treated like a thief. Having three members of staff hovering around the self-checkouts was completely unnecessary and really unpleasant!! Between the staff attitude and the poor quality control on the food, I will not be going back!!

Decent enough store with reasonable parking, just a shame how some of the staff are treated by other members of staff. Came in around lunchtime and overheard a female staff member being rude and obscene about another staff member. Makes me wonder what's said about customers. She also stood around chatting to a colleague right in the way of me trying to get past. One has to wonder about the competency of a manager if the young lady feels so brave enough to be like that in public.

My son dropped at 1kg jar of Nutella (just after we’d paid for it!).. the staff couldn’t have been nicer as they got another one for us, checked we hadn’t hurt himself on the broken glass and assured him it was ok.. a huge thank you as we were only just laughing about it 5 seconds earlier as he’d snuck a massive jar into the basket! We were both gutted but the staff handled it brilliantly
