This year, Father's Day at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park promises to be a special occasion not just for the human dads, but also for some of the park's animal fathers. Scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, 20th June to Sunday, 21st June 2026, the park will celebrate these remarkable animal dads with unique activities and offers for families. Visitors can enjoy a fun-filled day while learning about some of the most fascinating wildlife on the planet.

Special Offers for Father's Day

To honour fathers everywhere, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is offering a fantastic deal. On this special weekend, dads can gain free entry when they purchase an adult, child, or senior/student ticket in advance. This offer allows one free Father’s Day ticket per booking, making it an ideal opportunity for families to spend quality time together in nature.

  • Date: Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st June 2026

  • Adult Ticket Price: Starting from £27.99

  • Offer: One free ticket for dads with each advanced booking.

In addition to the free entry, the park is also promoting a special stay at the Hex Wildlife Hotel. Families who book a stay from 19th June to 22nd June can enjoy free admission to the park, a complimentary bottle of beer for dad, retro sweets, and breakfast at Wilds Café Bistro for the entire family.

Meet the Animal Dads

Among the animal dads being celebrated are Drake, an Amur leopard, and Brooke, a cheetah. Both have recently welcomed new cubs, and their stories are inspiring as well as heartwarming.

Drake, who is a three-time dad, recently celebrated the arrival of a set of Amur leopard cubs. This is significant as Amur leopards are critically endangered, with only about 130 left in the wild due to threats like poaching and habitat destruction. The birth of these cubs at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park gives hope for the future of this vulnerable species.

Meanwhile, 14-year-old Brooke is also a proud father, having recently welcomed a new litter of four cubs. He is no stranger to parenthood, as he previously raised two other cubs, Kendi and Tafari, who have now moved on to contribute to the international breeding programme for cheetahs.
