Usually love coming here and never have any issues, but my recent visit was ruined by a rude young lady who was checking our tickets. After seeing numerous films and never being asked for ID, my younger sister was asked for ID. We don't have passports as she can't travel due to medical issues. She doesn't have a provisional licence, to which the lady said "well you can get them at 15 and 9 months"... not common knowledge as you learn to drive at 17+... Spoke to the manager and got a refund after showing her my ID to prove I was over 15 (I am 18 years old). The customer service was disappointing as the mood was sour after she turned the poor family before us away for not letting their clearly older than 12 son, into a 12 rated film - I'd appreciate being turned away if she'd been respectful but she was totally sarcastic and had no care for customers. I think there needs to be better consistency within the staff because being let into a 15 one month and then being asked for ID and turned away the next does not make any sense...
Probably wouldn't return to be honest. Came to see a film with my son on a Saturday morning to find the seats weren't recliners. Not sure if this is the same throughout this Vue but the Vue in York has recliners which are far more comfortable. Price of snacks was way overpriced but I understand this is typical of all cinemas nowadays to make up for the cheaper entrance tickets.
Just come into Vue Doncaster to see the new fnaf film with my younger brother and some of his friends. They're all SEN teenage boys and I just want to commend the young man on the till. He told me his name was Oliver. He was so patient and lovely with the boys, they struggle a bit with being out and paying for things but he didn't rush them at all and made them feel very at ease. A credit to the company, well done Oliver :)
Came with my kids today around 12.45 to find a huge line for snacks a older gentleman and a older lady running about trying to get a que down while a male amd female laughing on there phone....the older chap asked for help they then they moaned about who would serve. finally got served. I felt sorry for the older chap as he was working hard.. took my son to toilet half through the movie and all you see is the same two on the ticket check on there phones. So missed on getting another drink during film as huge line amd no staff as they are more bothered entertaining each other than serving customers
Our screen had an issue but the manager was lovely, handled it very quickly and got us sorted. Shame the poor manager got stuck dealing with such entitlement after us about peanuts. Really appreciate the manager for his help tonight.
