Paid 35 quid for 2 tickets and 2 drinks to then be sat in a cold screen with a light randomly shining into the corner of the screen every few minutes. Staff were great and the seats were comfortable. I also liked the adjustable tables. But you can get much better value for money elsewhere.

⭐ 1-Star Review — Terrible Experience at Vue, The Light Leeds I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Vue, The Light Leeds today (28th Oct). I booked a ticket for the Pet Detective premiere at 10:00 AM, which was scheduled to start at 10:30 AM. I was the only person in the screening, and by 10:45 AM the movie still hadn’t started. I went downstairs to ask what was happening — staff told me to go back in and said they’d inform the manager, assuring me it would start soon. I waited patiently until 11:01 AM — still nothing. Then a staff member finally came in and said they wouldn’t be showing the film at all and that I could get a refund and some free vouchers. When I went to the counter, they only refunded my ticket. I had to argue to even receive a single free ticket, despite being told earlier I’d get more compensation for the inconvenience. To make matters worse, the manager claimed there had been a “power surge” and they couldn’t use the projector — yet later anyone with little common sense will know the real reason was simply because I was the only person booked in. After I challenged this, he suddenly said he could start the film now (by this time, 11:15 AM). So clearly there was no power issue — just an unwillingness to screen a film for one paying customer. This is completely unprofessional, dishonest, and disrespectful to paying guests. I wasted nearly two hours of my morning, my travel money, and my time — and they ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant experience. Vue needs to do better. If you’re not going to play a movie because there’s only one attendee, say so upfront instead of wasting customers’ time and offering inconsistent excuses. appalling service and lack of transparency. No wonder why most of the theatres in UK are shutting down. Zero customer service and Im happy with one thing that with this great customer service, staffs and manager, the owner can close the venue soon and start some other business.

Visited your cinema today, not a good experience to be honest, bought the expensive seats and found food and drink still in the seats, I did ask if they were supposed to be clean in-between films, very sticky too. Teenagers just came in and sat anywhere quite clearly didn't have tickets as they kept getting moved around as sat in peoples seats as they came in, obviously nobody checked. Went to get popcorn and drinks, (more expensive than everyman) the girl poured them into plastic cups after putting her fingers inside the cups to put them on the bar, not really hygienic! Probably 1st and last visit, back to the Everyman.

Went to see Avatar tonight and was unfortunate enough to be sat next to a guy watching things out loud on his phone and a woman with a crying baby theoughout the whole film. I didnt want to cause a scene but mentioned it politely to a member of staff afterwards and they were amazing. They refunded our tickets and were generally really nice. It didnt feel fake or forced, just nice people (especially Tim the manager). Film was great too!!

Expensive. We paid for lux seats, costs nearly £25 for 2 only to find out that every seat reclines and the view from each seat is practically the same as the cinema is so small. People were paying for cheaper seats and then sitting wherever they wanted once the film started. It is also extremely cold, they even sell their own fleece blankets in the foyer. I was wrapped in my coat through the whole 2 and a bit hour showing and my legs were so cold I was extremely uncomfortable. We had gone to see Wicked.
