Not the best cafe available. The prices have gone up and the new menu is so limited and rubbish. It's a shame because it use to be s decent cafe. All Morrisons cafes are the same
The fish is great and large. Batter can be hit and miss but overall very good. Lovely staff very hard working - all of them and are always helpful and friendly. Oh and it's clean, very clean unlike the meadowhead one which is a dump with tea swilling in the clean trays and food all over
It's been a long time since I've used a cafe in Morrisons. I had to ask for a menu, but that day, they had not had a sandwich delivery, and they'd got no chips !! So the choice was very limited. So the lovely lunch we were expecting turned out to be a bacon butty, and to be honest, that wasn't the best. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit.
The chunky steak pie, well only thing chunky about it was the crust. All day English breakfast "make your own" was so expensive and yet brought out barely anything on the plate could make my own plate more full for less the price. Not to mention the food being luke warm after being brought from the kitchen. Will not be coming again.
I used to find it reasonable here but it has deteriorated in a number of ways. Although the staff are generally friendly they have to ask loads of questions to customers ordering meals, creating a queue behind and/ or frustration at the till. If having a breakfast there are what I consider to be anomalies on the menu. For example, a small breakfast has toast included, the big breakfast does not. When questioned the anomaly was explained that the big breakfast had fried bread whereas the small breakfast does not, regardless of the extra cost. You get an extra sausage on the big breakfast which appears to be the only other difference because the extra bacon rasher was a small lump of fat and the hash browns were rock hard and indigestable. If buying a breakfast the small is better value... to the extent that it has any value. I have now stopped eating here because the other meals have also generally been unappetizing. I hate to write this because I used to find it reasonable for a supermarket restaurant. I wouldn't expect much but reasonably edible is a start. I may try again in a few weeks to see if there has been any improvement.
