Disappointing a few of the items on the menu we wanted they didn't have. Singapore noodles and chicken charsui beansprouts both good dishes. The egg fried rice not great and the ribs (great cantonese sauce thoigh) and crispy beef just extremely dry and tough. £41 ok value just needed more finesse.
After recently being quite disappointed by the other Chinese Restaurant nearby, we decided to go here (Gold River) instead. I can now say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Filey. They were attentive, friendly and helpful and the food came out hot, fresh and deliciously tasty. The prices were very reasonable too. The only (very minor) downside was that it was extremely quiet in here (we were the only sit in diners but they had plenty of takeout customers whilst we were there though) - it would have been wonderful if there was bit more of an atmosphere. This isn’t the restaurants fault, we obviously chose a quiet time to eat-in - so please don’t see this as a negative. Thank-you for a delicious meal! We will certainly be back next time we are in Filey!
Curry sauce very mild, prefer a kick. The vegetables were nice. Only used this once as was passing through the area. My partner enjoyed.
Placed an order online and was assured they would deliver directly to our caravan at primrose valley got a phone call from the driver to say meet him at main gate apart from that the food was delicious 😋
I ate here after work with a mate last night. The service was good friendly people. Food was great. Set meal for 2 for £40. 2 Starters, 2 mains, portion of rice and prawn crackers. 10/10 highly recommend
