YMCA Shop

Rude, sarcastic comments by some staff who gossip loudly and show little care to customers feelings. The standards are low and the need for retail training would help.The goods are not always as clean as they should be , especially as they have been supposedly checked. The now higher prices are a poor reflection of the goods. This once really welcoming well priced shop has lost its friendly consistent warmth that it once had. The contempt of some staff to customers would be likened to bullying in their (shop)playground .The two ladies who have been staff for the longest of time are the shops saving grace, keen to help and always ready to support with a smile and give time to serve politely.

Amazing staff and even though it’s a charity shop… the stock is always great. I’ve always walked away happy.

I call in sometimes as in the past I've had some furniture bargains. Lately everything seems to be dirty or damaged. Please sort your items out before putting them on shop floor 🙏

Went in with three bags to donate..Two female assistants stood having a conversation. Asked what was in bags..Told her they were virtually new books .Told not accepting books, take them somewhere else. At Catherine's shop they were grateful to accept them

I went in to the charity shop today to drop off some items and the most ungrateful shop worker barked at me to say the back of the shop was already full of donations. I told her if it was a problem I could take my donations elsewhere and she told me to leave them on the floor. I won't be taking my items back here in a hurry and another customer commented to me how rude she was. Take your donations somewhere they will be appreciated. I understand that these workers are volunteering but instead of having her phone call with 'Judith' perhaps she could spend a little more time on the job in hand and treat her customers with some respect.
