The Seafood Bar

I'm not a fan of seafood myself, but my wife visited this seafood bar on multiple occasions when we was in the area - so it must have been good! (More so, as she can be quite picky about where she gets things from...!)

Bought two pair of kippers which were absolutely delicious. I also bought a large crab. Very poor quality meat inside and, hidden from view, were three crabs legs which, as far as I could see, were there just to bulk up the volume at minimal expense. I felt utterly deceived. The recovered crab meat weighed in at 130g - That's around £70 per kg. Buyer beware!

Just what we were looking for. We bought cockles, mussels and crab sticks, the crab sticks were a bit dry and tasteless though. The lady serving was lovely, service was very quick, no queue. Good prices.

Great quality, fresh and tasty seafood. We had cockles, prawns and shell on prawns which we took straight to the beach (a step away). They take card and cash which was a super convenient. They also had a great variety of seafood to chose from, including dressed crab and shelled lobster locally sourced. There are not enough places like this by the seaside these day so I’m glad to find places like these 🌻

Tasteless rubbish. 2 x dressed crabs full of gristle and little quality crab meat. £7 each! a disgrace for a seaside vendor. My grandparents were trawlermen and we know rubbish when we cant taste it!
