Filey is one of my favourite seaside places, located between Bridlington and Scarborough. It has great beaches, Filey Brigg and Country Park, a lovely Bird and Animal Park and the very popular Glen Gardens. It’s a very proactive seaside resort with lots of events throughout the year inclusive very popular Food Festivals.

Lovely Yorkshire east coast beach and town. Nice place for a stroll along the wide beach, with rock pools as you go out on Filey Brigg. Dog friendly beach from October to March. And then there's always some lovely fish and chips! Decent parking at the country park towards the Brigg. Just note the public toilets are all 40p but you can pay by card.

We visit Filey a few times a year as it's usually a lovely little seaside town, but on our visit this week- every street we turned on to (walking to a coffe shop) there was dog muck smeared over the pavements & a pile of mess just left in the middle of pathways from dog walkers who cannot be bothered to clean up...if you don't want to pick up your dogs mess-get a goldfish!! The town didn't feel as clean & wasn't as clean as we've seen it many times previously & potholes -not just in the roads either. It's a shame because it used to be a spotless town as the pictures show, certainly doesn't feel that way on our last few visits.

This is a lovely beach. Miles of walking, half where dogs are welcome, half where they're not allowed.

Nice little town with a lovely front and shops selling local produce and trinkets. People we met were very friendly and helpful.
