Just back from a lovely week at Primrose Valley, very nice clean site. We stopped in a dog friendly Gold caravan, very clean and comfortable. Plenty of entertainment all day in the main centre for the whole family.

We stayed in The Voyagers Bunkers caravan 'David'. It is positioned around the lake. Plenty of wildlife, a golf course behind David. Fantastic place for downtime and lots of relaxation

It was ok but caravan wasnt up to standard was tired was strong smell of curry and oven door was bit dodgy kept closing when getting stuff out burnt arm on oven door.Single beds were lumpy they were supposed to be replaced with new mattresses but this wasnt done.Steps to caravan were worn and door clasp was broken to hold door open.Had to clean caravan to rid it of smell, mop had to be bleached and cleaned with boiling water. The extractor in bathroom was constantly running making sleep difficult.Site its self was nice. Also as can see if photos stains on sofa.We pulled living room bed out but it was too rusted to use.

Primrose valley is class for kids as i went with my 2 niece's one's still only a baby n ones a 5 y old and my mum and sister. There's multiples swimming baths be careful though as I've managed to cut my knuckles and my brother in law cut is toe open as its not that deep, theres a play ground and a fair, plenty to eat burger king, slim chicken, chippy etc I enjoyed it apart from the fact that my niece had separation anxiety from her mum and she cried all the time. There's also arcades which the kids got addicted to πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Another problem i had which isn't primrose valleys fault but I kept waking up with stuffy runny nose and red eyes because my hay-fever is bad πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚but a shower n ice packs helped it. The bedroom i had was alright it wasn't the best as I felt a bit cramped and I had to push the single beds together because as soon as you role over you're off the bed πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚so i put the spare quilt inbween the beds also I only had 2 pillows. The prices in the shop were a bit expensive and they basically rob you and everything isn't cheap including burger king etc but they can get away with it as its on site and there's no other takeaway nearby but we chose to spend alot of money as it was a holiday and the kids had fun. Apart from the fact that by the end of the 7 day holiday we we're all either ill, drained or both we all had a class time. Would I come again ? Yeah course i would but without my niece screaming because my sisters gone to the loo n left her πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Like most holiday parks, Primrose Valley is like marmite. You will either love it or loathe it. Here is a "tongue in cheek" guide. Plus points: a huge caravan park with every amenity you could wish for. More pools than a rainy day in Manchester. Restaurants, takeaways, bars, two entertainment halls, large arcade, laundrette, fair ground, children's playgrounds dotted everywhere. Price of beer is very reasonable (for a holiday camp) Lovely sandy beach, and you can walk to filey in under half an hour. Good public transport links to Scarborough and Bridlington. Both are worth visiting. It even has its own Wetherspoons. Down side: far too big, and no intimacy. Everything is either fully booked, or too expensive to book. Get in early if you want to book a swim. Be prepared to queue, for almost everything. Price of kids drinks is extortionate. Β£3:95 for a coca cola. Dearest 'spoons I've been to in a while. ...to be fair, there are still bargains to be had on the menu, and beer is excellent. Remember this is tongue in cheek. If you like privacy and peace and quiet, book on the outer sections of the village, or look elsewhere. Otherwise, it is a brilliant holiday park that will keep the kids entertained all day long.
