The reserve is widely known as the best place to see seabirds in the country and is a must for any nature buffs. There are plenty of parking spaces at the visitor centre. There are also many coast edge viewing platforms along the several walks on the reserve so you can use the mounted viewing equipment to see the hundreds of thousands of birds up close. The walk heads down towards the cliffs. Once you have spent sometime there its only a short stroll back to the visitor centre. There are multiple walks to take with lots of activities for the family along the way and the bug hotel is must visit for younger children.

Enjoy this walk by taking in the views whilst discovering the UK's oldest surviving lighthouse on the headland. The bird life here is amongst the most populous and diverse in the country and you will often see bird spotters congregated at various points on the walk. Starting in the village of Flamborough itself, the walk will take you up to the headland and on the way see if you can spot gannets, gulls and auks. In the summer months you should also see large populations of butterflies as you stroll down to Thornwick bay to maybe dip your toes in the north sea, if you're brave enough!

You should also see squirrels and maybe the odd dear if you're lucky. There is a car park on Flamborough road, just follow the path from here and it will wind you through the woodland to the beach. When you reach the end you'll be greeted with lovely views of the coast towards Bridlington.
