Five of us arrived in good time for breakfast at Betty’s, as part of a 60th Birthday Weekend away. We were seated just before the queue started. Everyone ordered a different dish and we also shared cinnamon toast😋 The food, as expected, was fabulous- everything was prepared to perfection. We chose various teas/fresh juice. It was all wonderfully sumptuous; heavenly in fact! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve enjoyed the Afternoon Tea experience. I think the “desserts” part was better than sandwiches. Sandwiches can be improved, some of them tasted a bit plain. I would say that the price is a bit too high. We stayed in the line for about 15 minutes so it’s better to book a table in advance. Overall it’s an amazing experience especially if you are a tourist and want to see what’s “Afternoon tea” experience is all about.
We visited the Imperial Room in order to celebrate a special birthday and were very will looked after by the team. From our reception to our departure, we were treated with kindness and patience (especially when we were struggling to decide what tea and which sandwiches we wanted to sample!) The food was amazing with some really interesting flavour variations and genuinely pleasant surprises - who knew blue cheese and pear would make such a tasty macaroon? We'll definitely be back for the next big event!
What an amazing place. The staff are so friendly, the atmosphere really relaxing even though it gets super busy. But with no booking we only waited max ten minutes before getting a table. The festive afternoon tea was beautiful, and couldn’t even finish. Ended up having the sweet treats to take out (which I ended up giving to a homeless chap on the street as he was hungry). Love this place, and definitely will be back.
Festive afternoon tea was delicious, good portion and presentable. Imperial room is good and love the set up and atmosphere. Staff were all super friendly and attentive. James, was friendly and welcoming, super friendly and kind, always with a smile and attention to detail!!! The shop is also lovely offering lots of options for gifting.
